President Gitenstein calls on the New Jersey Chamber of Commerce to take a position in support of DACA

On September 13, President Gitenstein sent a memo to the Board of Trustees of the New Jersey Chamber of Commerce, one of the state’s leading business organizations, to ask it to “adopt a statement advocating for a timely legislative remedy” to the DACA issue.
On October 10, the chamber issued a statement indicating it “joins with the U.S Chamber of Commerce and companies such as Microsoft, Verizon, IBM, and Hewlett Packard in urging the Trump Administration and Congress to work quickly to craft the required legislation that reflects basic American fairness and recognizes the value of DACA children’s contributions to New Jersey and the nation.”
